I love a bit of muscavado sugar on my porridge of a morning but how can I stop it forming into great boulders in the jar?

Weirdly, I found this out online yesterday "If your brown sugar has gone hard, add a piece of bread into the container. I have no idea how it works, but it keeps the sugar fresh." Hope it works!
