Hello,
I have two questions which I would like some advice on. Firstly, over the past couple of years I have developed Rosecea on my face. For some months now I wash just with water and try to avoid putting any products on my face. This comes from a woman of 46 who for most of her life has moisturised with anti ageing creams such as oil of ulay or L'oreal and wearing makeup. Can you recommend the top products to use? I am especially interested in "green" creams to hide the effects of Rosecea.
My second question is to do with my feet. I have very bad tough dry skin on the soles of my feet. I ahve tried the usual exfoliating methods...intensive creams, files etc but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?
Thanks. Teresa Jessen Hampshire

I use Oil of Evening Primrose cream which has a good calming effect on redness on my face and neck. I suggest soaking feet and pumicing away the skin, bit by bit, or failing that, a visit to the chiropodist at your local surgery.

I have acne rosecea withe very noticeable red veins particularly on my chin. I have tried pretty much everything including green creams - they do not work! The slide off or give your skin a weird look - I have changed to mineral makeup and not only does it cover the redness my veins are actually a lot less visible when I'm not wearing the makeup! Try Bare Escentuals or Lilly Lolo. It looks good and helps to heal your skin. For the feet - vaseline and sox at night is the best idea so far...

I've had similar problems, but found that good old vaseline smeared on at night then put on a pair of socks works wonders.

re your problem with your feet. i too suffer from really dry scaly heels that crack but the strange thing is only on one foot!! anyway i bought the foot file from Victoria Health and it is great after having tried most things i give it a big thumbs up after filing i apply lots of doublebase (from doctor) put on some socks and go to bed. this regime seems to keep it under control but if i stop it comes back so you need to keep it up every couple of days. hope this helps.

I am surprised no-one has recommended the The Sher System as yet for your Rosacea. Just type that into google to get in touch with them. They've had wonderful results.

I too suffer from Rosecea and although I have tried many products to east the redness I still haven't found one that works, at the minute I am using antibiotic cream from my doctor.
In terms of covering up I am using Benefit 'Bluffing' range which contains a yellow based concealer and powder. i have to say both have been a godsend and I am much more confident with my skin since using these.
